THRIVE TUESDAY | UNEXPECTED LESSONS

What if some of our greatest teachers never say a word?

For as long as humans have walked this earth, animals have walked alongside us, not only as companions, but as teachers, guides, protectors, and examples of how to simply be.

Somewhere along my own journey, I stumbled upon just how incredibly powerful the animal-human connection can be.

When what I lovingly called the Funny Farm began, I honestly thought having all these animals would just be fun.

And of course, it is! But it has become so much more. I began noticing what the animals were doing for me.

The grounding.
The joy.
The peace.

When my mind is racing ahead, they bring me back to right now. They don’t care about yesterday or spend their days worrying about tomorrow. They respond to what is happening in this moment. And if we slow down enough to pay attention, animals are constantly teaching us through their example.

Our pets show us what it looks like to love without all the conditions we humans tend to attach to it. They don’t care about our age, appearance, accomplishments, status, mistakes, or the chapter of life we’re currently walking through. They simply love and love to be loved.

Animals remind us:

To play.

To rest.

To trust our instincts.

To adapt to the environment around us.

To nurture one another.

To move through change with a little more grace.

And whether it’s a herd of elk moving together across an open field or our own wonderfully mismatched Funny Farm herd, animals reveal the beauty and importance of community. They remind us that we aren’t meant to navigate everything alone.

There is strength in staying connected. In looking out for one another. In knowing when to lead, when to follow, and when to simply stand beside someone.

I especially love watching that lesson unfold here because our herd couldn’t be more different. Different species. Different personalities. Different needs. And yet somehow, they figure out how to coexist. Sure, they pester each other. They compete for treats. They have their moments. 😂

But at the end of the day, they gather together. Maybe that’s something we humans could learn from, too.

Community doesn’t require us to be the same. It simply asks us to make room for one another. One of the greatest lessons animals teach us is something many of us humans struggle with:

They don’t try to be anything other than exactly what they are. There is such freedom in that.

What started changing everything for me, though, was realizing I wasn’t the only one experiencing this connection. I began watching what happened when other people came here. It’s honestly difficult to put into words.

People arrive carrying things you can’t necessarily see, stress, grief, fear, responsibility, heartbreak, exhaustion, uncertainty. And then something begins to shift.

Walls come down.

Breathing slows.

People laugh.

They get quiet.

They reconnect.

One of our most recent visitors was a single mom navigating a divorce after an unhealthy relationship. After spending time here and taking a little bit of the peace she experienced at the ranch with her, she shared, “I found myself again.”

Wow. Simple things, big impact.

Maybe that’s part of the magic. Animals don’t need us to explain our story before they’ll sit beside us. They don’t ask us to defend our choices. They don’t care who the world thinks we should be. They simply meet us exactly where we are.

And somehow, in their gentle presence, we can begin remembering who we are too.

Animals teach us about so much…..

They teach us about life and death.

Survival and sacrifice.

Responsibility and resilience.

Nurturing and playfulness.

Freedom and instinct.

Connection and community.

And when we slow down enough to observe them, sometimes the lesson we need most is right in front of us.

Maybe today take a little time to notice the animals around you. What quality in that animal speaks to something within you?

Maybe what we’re drawn to is sometimes a reflection of something we’re being invited to rediscover within ourselves.

The Funny Farm began because I thought having a bunch of animals would make life a little more fun.

Instead, these animals became some of my greatest teachers.

And without realizing it at the time, they were showing me a calling that would eventually become Thrive Ranch. 🩷

A place to reset.

A place to reconnect.

A place to rediscover what matters.

Because sometimes our greatest teachers never say a word. 🩷

XOXO,
Zanna

F🩷CK IT FRIDAY | TRY

HAPPY F🩷CK IT FRIDAY, EVERYONE!

This week’s vibe is all about TRYING.

But not just trying…

Trying with your whole heart. 🩷

This week, I’ve been thinking a lot about the life and legacy of the beautiful Dolly Parton. She taught us so much about what it means to be true to yourself, believe in your dreams, and never stop trying for them even when they seem completely unattainable.

As I went down memory lane listening to some of her music this week, I happened upon a song I had never heard before: “Try.”

And what a beautiful message from her to all of us.

Never stop trying. And when you fall down, get back up and try again.

So today, I hope you’ll turn up the music and celebrate.

Celebrate Dolly.
Celebrate YOU.
Celebrate your dreams.
Celebrate all that’s possible. ✨

Take a little time to feel all the feels and really absorb the message.

And while you’re at it, fill some buckets, metaphorically or literally. 🪣🩷

Soulful Saturday | The Sweet Life

La dolce vita. 🇮🇹✨

The sweet life.

I love the meaning behind this beautiful Italian phrase. It isn’t simply about indulgence or having a perfect life. To me, la dolce vita is about savoring life, slowing down enough to notice the beauty, enjoying the simple things, being present with the people you love, making memories, and actually living the life you’re creating.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did.”
— Mark Twain

Tomorrow, Jeff and I leave for Italy. A much overdue time to reset and reconnect. 🇮🇹🩷

After 32 years together full of up magic and messy, I’m incredibly grateful that we still choose each other and that we still get excited about discovering new places, having new adventures, and discovering more of ourselves and each other along the way.

I believe new adventures are an opportunity to fall in love over and over again with each other, with life, and with who we are becoming.

Travel has always filled our buckets. 🪣💕 My ...

The Power of Being Intentional Daily
The 7-Day Thrive Daily Challenge

Life has a way of sweeping us up in its chaos emails, errands, family, work, and endless distractions. But we still get to choose how we show up each day.

Being intentional isn’t about perfection. It’s about small, powerful choices that align us with who we want to be and the life we’re cultivating. When we pause long enough to choose presence, gratitude, movement, connection, and joy, we fill our “Buckets” one act at a time. Over time, those add up to an overflowing, thriving life.

With this in mind I created the Thrive Daily Habits Checklist - five categories with simple, doable habits that remind us to ground ourselves, grow, and live with purpose.

 Grounding & Presence

  • Step outside for morning sunlight & fresh air

  • Write down 3 things you’re grateful for

  • Take a mindful 2-minute breathing pause

 Mind & Growth

  • Read at least 1 page of something uplifting

  • Reflect with “So what, now what?” Fill your BEST LIFE BUCKETS

  • Disconnect—no screen time for an hour (morning or bedtime)

 Body & Energy

  • Drink water before coffee

  • Stretch, dance, or move in small ways

  • Add one colorful food to your meals

 Relationships & Connection

  • Send a genuine check-in to someone

  • Give full attention in one conversation

  • Do a tiny act of love (hug, thank-you, smile)

 Purpose & Joy

  • Visualize or note one step toward a dream

  • Celebrate a tiny victory

  • Do one thing that lights you up (sing, dance, doodle, workout, hike, laugh)

The 7-Day Thrive Daily Challenge

For the next 7 days, I’m inviting you to pick 3 habits from the list each day and commit to doing them. That’s it. Simple, intentional, and powerful. Print your checklist here!

Choose different habits each day —or stick with the same three if that feels right.

How to Join:

  1. Choose 3 habits daily from the checklist.

  2. Practice them intentionally for 7 days.

  3. Share your journey with the THRIVER Tribe (post, picture, or reflection).

Those who complete the 7-day challenge and share about it will be entered into a special giveaway drawing, a little gift from me to celebrate your intentional living.

Imagine what can shift in just one week when you live with purpose, presence, and joy. Let’s thrive together, one small daily choice at a time.

Much Love,

Zanna

Sacred Sunday: Intentionally Cultivating Your Dream Life
Visualization & Manifestation

THE DREAM

You know those dreams that tug on your heart—the ones that feel both exhilarating and a little scary? Yeah, those are the ones that matter. The truth is, your dream isn’t waiting on a perfect plan. It’s waiting on your belief. Your commitment. Your willingness to see it, speak it, and start living in alignment with it.

VISUALIZATION + INTENTION = MANIFESTATIN IN MOTION

Visualization and daily intention-setting are powerful tools for manifesting your dreams because they align your mindset, emotions, and actions toward a specific goal. By focusing your attention and energy, you prime your brain (and even your environment) to spot opportunities and take meaningful steps. Here’s how you can use them more effectively, plus some newer techniques you can try:

How They Work Together

  1. Visualization engages your imagination and emotions, creating a mental “rehearsal” of success.
  2. Intention-setting grounds that vision in the present moment, helping you take aligned actions each day.

Daily Practice Framework

Morning:

  • 1. Visualization (5 minutes)
    • Close your eyes and see your dream life as if it’s happening right now.
    • Engage the senses: What do you see, hear, feel, smell?
    • Focus on the emotional state you want to live in.
  • 2. Intention Setting (2–3 minutes)
    • Ask: “What energy do I want to bring today?”
    • Set 1–2 concrete intentions (e.g., “I will take one step toward launching my business” or “I will connect with someone who inspires me”).

Evening:

  • 3. Reflection
    • Did you act in alignment with your intention?
    • What did you learn or notice today that moves you closer to your vision?

New Techniques to Try

1. “Future You” Journaling

Write a journal entry as if you’re already living your dream life. Describe your day in detail. This reprograms your subconscious and builds belief.

Example: “I woke up in my beach house, excited for my morning meeting with my dream client…”

 2. Embodied Visualization

While visualizing, incorporate subtle movement—stand tall, smile, breathe deeply. This connects the body and mind and reinforces confidence and readiness.

 3. Vocal Intention Setting

Speak your intentions out loud with conviction. Saying them activates different areas of the brain and boosts commitment. Try:

  • “Today, I show up fully for my creative work.”
  • “I attract aligned opportunities with ease.”

 4. Micro-Intentions Throughout the Day

Don’t just set one intention in the morning—pause throughout the day to reset. Ask:

  • “How can I align with my vision in this moment?”
  • “What would the future version of me choose here?”

 5. Visualization Anchoring

Choose a small physical object (a stone, ring, bracelet) and hold or wear it during your visualization. Later, when you touch it during the day, you re-trigger that empowered state.

Here's to DREAMING our dreams and making them REALITY. I am rolling out a 7 Day Manifestation Challenge.

Each day, we’ll focus on one sacred aspect of manifestation: combining mindset, energy, and aligned action. This isn’t about hustle—it’s about harmony. About showing up each day on purpose.

Day 1 begins tomorrow. I hope you will look for it and join us!

Cheers,

Zanna

Welcoming Abundance with Gratitude
A "Superpower" for Thriving ILife

In a world that often teaches us to chase more—more success, more wealth, more achievements—it’s easy to overlook the abundance already present in our lives. But what if the secret to inviting even more blessings isn’t in striving harder, but in slowing down and appreciating what’s already here?

Gratitude is more than just saying “thank you.” It’s a perspective shift, a practice of seeing life through a lens of abundance rather than lack. When we cultivate gratitude, we don’t just acknowledge the good—we amplify it. We create space for more joy, more love, and more opportunities to flow into our lives.

The Energy of Abundance

Abundance isn’t just about material wealth. It’s the richness of relationships, the depth of experiences, the beauty of the present moment. When we focus on what we have rather than what we’re missing, we begin to recognize just how full our lives already are.

Gratitude shifts our mindset from scarcity to sufficiency. Instead of thinking, “I don’t have enough time,” we recognize, “I have exactly the time I need to focus on what matters.” Instead of, “I wish I had more,” we acknowledge, “I am already surrounded by so much.”

This shift doesn’t just make us feel good—it changes the way we attract abundance. When we radiate gratitude, we open ourselves to receive even more. Gratitude truly is a "superpower" we all have within. We just have to choose it.

Practicing Gratitude to Welcome Abundance

Abundance isn’t something we wait for—it’s something we invite in through intentional practices. Here are a few ways to cultivate gratitude and create a thriving, abundant life:

1. Start and End the Day with Gratitude

Begin each morning by naming three things you’re grateful for, and do the same before bed. This simple practice rewires your brain to focus on abundance rather than lack.

2. Savor the Present Moment

Abundance is found in the now. Whether it’s a quiet morning with a cup of coffee, the sound of laughter with loved ones, the feel of sunshine on your skin, or shenanigas at the funny farm—pause, take it in, and truly savor it.

3. Express Gratitude to Others

When we express appreciation, we not only uplift others but also deepen our own sense of abundance. Send a heartfelt message, write a note, or simply say, “I appreciate you.” Gratitude multiplies when shared.

4. Transform Challenges into Lessons

Gratitude isn’t just for the good times. Even struggles carry gifts—strength, resilience, wisdom. When we find gratitude in difficult moments, we unlock a new level of abundance: the ability to grow through everything.

5. Give Freely, Trusting in Overflow

One of the greatest signs of an abundant mindset is generosity. Whether it’s time, energy, or resources, giving without fear of lack affirms that there is always enough. The more we give, the more we receive.

A Life Rooted in Gratitude

Abundance isn’t something outside of us—it’s something we cultivate from within. When we live with gratitude, we stop chasing and start receiving. We recognize that we are already rich in love, opportunities, and possibilities.

So today, take a deep breath, look around, and ask yourself: What is abundant in my life right now? The answer might surprise you. And as you welcome that abundance with gratitude, you’ll find that life has a beautiful way of giving you even more to be thankful for.

Here’s to thriving in abundance, one grateful moment at a time.

Cheers,

Zanna
