Buongiorno, THRIVER Tribe! š®š¹š¤
IāM BACK!!! And it feels so good to be here with you.
Itās our first message of September, itās Wisdom Wednesday, and Iām coming home from Italy with a very full heart full of love, gratitude and POSSIBILITY.
As I shared before we left, we almost canceled this trip.
There are SO many moving parts in our lives right now, and the timing honestly didnāt feel ideal. There were a hundred reasons to stay home, keep working, keep figuring things out and wait until life felt a little more settled.
But thankfully, we didnāt.
We chose to go.
We chose to make the memories.
We chose to live life even though the timing wasnāt perfect.
And most importantly, we chose each other. ā¤ļø
And you know whatās funny?
When we finally surrendered and stopped trying to control every moving part, somehow a beautiful synergy happened. While we were off living, loving and enjoying our time together, some of the very things we had been waiting on started moving too.
Imagine that. š
It was such a beautiful reminder:
Do the things anyway.
Live NOW.
Love NOW.
I make time every day to ground myself and find joy in the simple things. But if Iām really looking at the bigger picture, we have been living out of alignment with what matters most to us for more than two years.
What was supposed to be a two-month chapter somehow became two years.
And I wouldnāt change it.
There have been lessons, blessings, incredible people, unexpected opportunities and so much growth tucked into these past two years.
But itās time to realign.
Itās time to take some BIG leaps of faith.
And most importantly, itās time to do it side by side instead of miles apart.
This trip gave us the reset we needed before we embark on our next big adventure moving everything back to Montana.
We saw breathtaking places, met incredible people, ate amazing food, laughed until our stomachs hurt, navigated plenty of pivots š and simply enjoyed being together.
And if you guys know meā¦
I LOVE a good love story. ā¤ļø
One of my favorite days was spent with two other couples we met along the way.
One couple was on their honeymoon their story just beginning.
Another was celebrating 40 years of marriage and taking their very first trip alone together. Watching how giddy they were to have this time with just the two of them was absolutely beautiful.
And then there was us, right there in the middle, celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary a little late. ā¤ļø
Three couples.
Three completely different chapters.
Three love stories still being written.
Hearing about each coupleās journey moved me.
But more than anything, it reminded me:
Keep choosing each other.
Keep dating each other.
Keep discovering who the other person is becoming.
Keep finding their magic and keep creating new magic together.
Which brings me to a little Wisdom Wednesday nugget I recently came acrossā¦
ā¤ļø THE 2-2-2 RULE ā¤ļø
The idea is beautifully simple:
Every 2 weeks: Go on a date together.
Every 2 months: Get away together for a weekend.
Every 2 years: Take a week-long trip together.
It doesnāt have to be extravagant or expensive, and I donāt think the magic is really in following the numbers perfectly.
The magic is in the intention.
Itās remembering that somewhere between the jobs, kids, animals, businesses, responsibilities, dreams, bills, moves and all the other āmoving partsā of lifeā¦
there is still an US.
An us worth protecting.
An us worth prioritizing.
An us worth rediscovering again and again.
Because there will ALWAYS be something that needs our attention.
There may never be a āperfect time.ā
So maybe the wisdom isnāt just the 2-2-2 rule.
Maybe itāsā¦..
Stop waiting for life to settle down before you start living it.
Date.
Book the weekend.
Take the trip.
Make the memory.
Say I love you.
Laugh more.
Dream together.
Choose each other.
Live now. Love now. ā¤ļø
And speaking of choosing what matters most, I want to give a very special thank-you to my mom. ā¤ļø
Thank you, Mom, for not only staying here to love on all the animals while we were away, but for being the best kind of crazy and for being the person I got my crazy from. Thanks, Mom! Sheās crazy enough to load up our goofy pups and set off on a trek to Montana with them, taking one more thing off our list as we prepare for this big move.
The pups are going to be so happy to see Kolton, Kyler, Liv, Lexi and Jeff when they get there. And Iāll be happy knowing I can keep our house effortlessly ready for the next family to let their dreams unfold here.
Teamwork makes the dream work!
I wish I could have joined her for the adventure, but there is still a lot to do to get where weāre going and I canāt wait to share it all with you!
Speaking of sharingā¦
Save the date for our Happy Hour on September 24th! š·āØ
I canāt wait to catch up with yāall then!
So on this first Wisdom Wednesday of September, I want to hear from YOU:
Who or what have you been meaning to make more intentional time for?
And what could you choose NOW instead of waiting for the āright timeā?
Hereās to a new month, new possibilities, big leaps of faith and remembering that sometimes the very best thing we can doā¦
is choose what matters most.
Letās make September MAGIC.
XOXO,
Zanna
